Originally from Victoria, Canada, I've been living in Japan (Tokyo and Kyoto) on and off since the 90s. I'm fortunate to get paid to hack on open source code for a living, but also enjoy working on small hardware projects, amateur radio, language learning, and reading anything I can get my hands on.

Fluent in 🇨🇦 variants of 🇬🇧語 and 🇫🇷語, as well as 変わってる🇯🇵語, according to my wife and kids.
